A WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS TO FIND BALANCE AND FEEL CONFIDENT IN THEIR CAREER AFTER MATERNITY AND PARENTAL LEAVE.
You’ve just spent a few months focusing on your baby, focusing on your own health, and now your return-to-work date is looming. You might be experiencing a range of feelings: anxious about going back to your old job as a different person, a bit lost about where to take your career, lacking confidence after so much time away, not sure how your new routine will work out.
GOING BACK TO WORK AFTER A CAREER BREAK CAN BE A DIFFICULT TRANSITION TO MANAGE.
Most of the time, you’ll just be expected to slot back into your role and responsibilities smoothly. But the reality is different.
Six years ago, I experienced a difficult return-to-work after my first maternity leave. It actually prompted me to change careers! But not everyone needs to do that.
That's why I have designed this workshop for parents: to help them prepare for their return to work, so that they feel confident and in control of their career. It can be for both mothers and fathers: if you’ve taken a career break to spend time with your child, you’ll face the same challenges.
In the 90 minutes we’ll spend together, we will talk about your identity, your vision of the future, your career plan, your personal organisation and how to develop your resilience.
THIS IS A SAFE SPACE WHERE YOU CAN DISCUSS PARENTHOOD, FAMILY LIFE, CAREER AND LIFE ADMIN, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY - IT'LL BE ABOUT YOU.
You will leave the workshop with a workbook full of exercises that will empower you to set actions that you will feel committed to implementing. You will have a new perspective on your return to work, you will feel more confident about taking control and less anxious about the future.
Here are some of the topics that we will discuss:
What is your new identity made of, and more specifically what are your values?
What do you want to get out of life and what are your goals?
What is your career vision and what is career brand?
How will you organise yourself to strike the balance that you need?
How can you develop your resilience when things are tough?
If your baby(ies) is a bit fussy that day, don’t worry! This workshop is about starting your thinking process about your return to work. You can come back to your workbook when you have a bit more headspace.
I’d recommend attending this workshop within the 3 months before you go back to work. Of course, you could come before that if you don’t want to miss out!
THE POWER OF WORKING TOGETHER
I will support you throughout this process by asking you powerful coaching questions to get you thinking. I will also share my experience and tips.
In a cosy and relaxed atmosphere, you’ll be with a small group of like-minded people. It’ll be an opportunity to create your own plan by learning from each other in a safe and welcoming space.
TAKING A MOMENT FROM THE BUSY-NESS OF YOUR LIFE WILL EMPOWER YOU TO FOCUS ON YOURSELF, MAKE DECISIONS AND TAKE ACTIONS.
ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Catherine! I’ve been a career coach for the last 5 years. Before that, I used to work in HR and Talent Management. I decided to change careers to become independent and choose how to achieve my purpose of helping others grow. Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of clients from various backgrounds and at different stages in their life and career, supporting them with their personal development, career growth and life design. I love sharing what I’ve learned from my own career and my clients' experiences with others. Delivering workshops is something I really enjoy as I find that collective and collaborative thinking really enables you to think deeper and create empowering action plans!
