Quiet your negative self-talk - webinar

We all have within ourselves a negative voice that stops us from making decisions or taking action: sometimes called the inner critic, it's made of a mix of things: self-limiting beliefs, fears and worries.

Self-limiting beliefs are negative thoughts engraved in our mind. They are individual truths that we have created based on our life experiences throughout childhood and adulthood. Some thoughts may have been repeated for years and years, whereas others may come from just one bad experience. They guide our behaviour and actions, without us realising it. Some are very personal, whilst others are collectively shared within a culture. We use them as an excuse for not doing something.

Worry is the thought that something bad might happen. We allow ourselves to be preoccupied with something, and by doing so we create negative thoughts that waste our time and take a space that could be used for problem-solving.

Fear is caused by danger or a threat. There is something irrational about it and it tends to sit with us over time. Fear is associated with our survival: we protect ourselves from danger. Fear can also be the manifestation that something big and exciting is happening: a transition, a transformation. We don't know what's on the other side, and our instinct tells us to stay in our comfort zone.

We all have self-limiting beliefs, fears and worries, no one is spared. We experience them consciously or unconsciously. But we don’t have to live with them forever: there’s a way to turn them into a positive, empowering inner voice.

In this 60-minute webinar, I’ll share a powerful exercise to help you identify your blockers and a model to tackle them. You’ll come away with more self-awareness and a guide to practice reinforcing positive, empowering thoughts.

Hi, I’m Catherine! I’ve been a career coach for the last 5 years. Before that, I used to work in HR and Talent Management. I decided to change careers to become independent and choose how to achieve my purpose of helping others grow. Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of clients from various backgrounds and at different stages in their life and career, supporting them with their personal development, career growth and life design. I love sharing what I’ve learned from my own career and my clients' experiences with others. Delivering workshops is something I really enjoy as I find that collective and collaborative thinking really enables you to think deeper and create empowering action plans!
